Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Paypal fees

    I'm buying something off somebody and he's going to courier it to me this week but wants payment first. He asked me to select friends and family option so he doesn't incur fees.

    I don't mind transferring extra to cover those fees in order to protect myself but does anyone know how much they'd be? Or how I'd find out?

    PayPal charge around 3 percent.

    You seem to be clued in but I'll say it for others reading in the future. Never, ever send money via the friends & family option unless they are friends or family. There are many threads where someone got ripped off this way

    So I owe him 200 euro for a piece of music equipment. So if I send him 210 euro via the non friends and family option he'll be happy enough right? It doesn't add any complication on his side? Also, I'm protected that way? He's got hundreds of positive reviews and not a single bad review on adverts, so I'm comfortable enough. I always play things safe though especially if it only costs an extra few quid. The thing here is that I'm not sure if there's anything I'm not thinking about.

    No comeback if using Friends and Family if things go wrong. Some sellers use this so they can't have a case opened against them.
