How much time would you get on a dash cam with this before it loops again ?

Depends on the dash cam. Most don't support over 64GB, which one is it?

Class card man, perfect for the Mavic Air and 4k video. I'm already broke but was forced to buy two :)

    Thanks

Nice little cam, it supports up to 128GB. I'd say you'd get 48 hours of recording

Are you recording in 4k or 1080p?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,325 ✭✭✭jmreire

Can you not set up the recording in the dash cam in a way it goes in a continuous loop?..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,659 ✭✭✭torrevieja

IM RECORDING IN 1080P as far as i know doesnt have 4k?

as far as i can see whenever i go to check it , about 6-8 hours of time

My iphone isn’t backing up to the iCloud anymore as I’ve too many photos and videos.
Would this be a suitable solution?

Apologies, the v2 model has 4k

Maybe it records in a higher bit rate to my dashcam. Mine records in 1080p 30fps and I get 24 hours on a 64GB card.

I'm sure that does 1440p, maybe check the recording options in settings.

Be warned about using these in a dashcam. I had a SanDisk die within 3 months of use in almost the same Viofo camera. I bought a High Endurance card for over a year and a half since with no problem.

No , not for an iPhone- upgrade your iCloud storage plan.

Have you cleared out any protected clips? If the sensitivity is a bit high a camera might protect a clip when you hit a bump and reduce free space each time.

Seconded. These cards aren't best suited to constant writing like you'd see in a Dashcam. You really need a high endurance card like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00V5Q1K3O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wow, I didn't know micro SD's came in 400GB

I guess the problem is having a phone that will recognise 400GB though? I have a Samsung S7 Active, I think it only recognises up to 128GB :(

Still an unbelievable price. Most 128GB U3 cards are still priced at 90euros elsewhere.

No reason to go for Sandisk in the first place - more expensive than Samsung for comparable specs, and, at least in my experience, way less reliable. I find other brands like Kingston, a much better value too.

They were sent in two envelopes, each with a value of €14.84 which meant I wasn't hit for tax - fair play to them for doing that
    Excellent service
