I haven't heard anything yet, registered the day this thread was posted.

I used to hate Jason Byrne but then saw him live and he actually wasn't bad. Sure free tickets, you can't go wrong!

Yes, they're free, but i guess they do some kind of 'First come first served' thing for them.

They may well also offer standby tickets, asking you to come but not guaranteeing you a seat, as they want the Olympia to be full for recording.

If anybody fails to show they'll start letting in the standby's, at least that's how it worked for Michael Mcintyre

hey lads Im on the booking screen for the tickets and i registered and all.

Its looking for a promo code ? what is it

I justed typed in comedy and book 2 tickets.

and it said they will ring me.

so hopefully we will all get a call.

Wow the poor guy must have no one going to his gig if they are giving out free tickets.

Not that nobody will be going, just that they give out free tickets to shows that will be recorded for DVD/TV, like this one.

also they want it to look like it has good figures and good crowd going to it.

Just got emailed my free tickets for this.

Update: Looks like its not only a Jason Byrne gig. Show runs for over 3 hours and tickets says "You are now officially invited to a very special evening of STAND UP COMEDY performances from some of the world’s top comics in DUBLIN"

Thanks for the post eliza64 I have just received 4 tickets. I went to see him live in the Axis in Ballymun a few months ago it was a great shop. I'm looking forward to it.
