Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm liking Clarkson as host here. Much better than Tarrant, although I liked him at the time.

Some of the contestants were very cocky last night :D

How did she get to ask Jeremy if he could help her answer... is that a new option versus ask the audience? And no haven't watched it in years

Ask the host is an additional one they have added to the usual 3.

At the start last night he took out a cheque at the 1000 mark and tore it up saying we're doing that any more as nobody uses them.

At least it was a visual! THE "I'M TRANSFERRING THE MONEY NOW" is pants

yeah i know we don't do cheques anymore -but should still do the check thing on there - used to like "do you want to hold it?" - and "we dont wanna give you that! " ...

Watched last nights episode earlier today and quite enjoyed it after not seeing it for donkeys years and thought JC did a great job for the first episode
But my god were those contestants a bit on the dumb side (admittedly the questions seemed a bit harder than they used to be). This show needs someone to get up to the big money and then quivering on a question

I like how he doesn't sit over it talking sh*te for ages after they have given final answer.

Watched it last night and tonight.Jeremy doing an excellent job.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,840 ✭✭✭✭Andy From Sligo

Tarrant: "if you were to say to me D - you would have lost 8,000 pounds .... if you were to say to me C -you would have lost 8,000 pounds ............. if you were to say to me B ......... you would have lost 8,000 pounds A is the riiiiiight Answer!! "

Clarkeson: "you've just won 16 grand" - next question.... :D

so he needs to just build it up in places to get the tension going (unless of course you hated all the twatting about Tarrant done)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,669 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Watched tonights episode - the question difficulty is definitely ramped up some and the answers seem to be the ones that make you question what you think it is or maybe it was always that way...

Ya there’s been a good few questions where I do know the answer but if I’m in the hotseat I’d say your confidence goes down times 10.

The number of questions to get to 1000 is a bit much.

Nod was one where at home I was shouting it out then looking at the other answers (bar Nazareth) and thinking hmmm maybe not, is it Nineveh...

yeah, tedious - i can see now why in the later (tarrant era) they changed it to 500 then next step 1000

Enjoying this. Amazing to think that a few short years ago, phone a friend was a thing where they had no worries about people cheating at a laptop/phone!
