Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hay guys!,
I was wondering about a littel something thats been on my mind lately. Its the matter of the safety of my equipment. I was wondering if its a good idea to inscribe a bar code into my equipment? do other people do this?

i think most bows have serial numbers on them you should take a photo of it and keep it safe in case of a robbery, at least them you could report this to the gardai and insurance. i might be wrong on this but when i asked in the club what the number on the bow was i was told its a serial number. I'm not too sure if such a thing exists for sights and the likes, maybe others out there do.

i suggested starting a database of equipment id codes to be held at a central source (IAAA) before christmas and will be bringing it to them this month.
The codes would be insribed into riser using a rotary tool in the limb pocket or another out of the way place and would use the manufacturers limb codes.
This would allow people to make enquiries about second hand gear when buying from an unknown source, and prove ownership shuld equipment "go missing"
Give me a little while to get some plans together, any ideas welcome!
