Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This should be interesting. Hopefully the lads can get it together and fight back.

We were getting carried away a bit. Back to reality.

That looks a Bamford stamp and dive

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,000 ✭✭✭wonderboysam

    Bamford hasnt changed :pac:

Crikey, that reaction by Bamford... Disgraceful behaviour

    Beautiful from Mings.

    Barkley beyond poor there

Looks a very harsh reaction to that in here... I don't think it was a stamp, or a dive.

His foot came down accidentally on Mings, and twisted badly. He didn't in any way look for a pen, didn't even look at the ref.

Don't think anyone did anything wrong on either side (aside from Migns reaction after).

    <edit>
    Fabulous finish after.

And then that cheating fecker does that..... some finish

Barkley poor, loses ball doesn't hunt for it back - Leeds far far hungrier for everything

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,105 ✭✭✭✭listermint

    Injured was it.
    ..
    He's a sham.

    We're 2-0 down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,442 ✭✭✭basillarkin

Ross so poor for Bamfords second. Gives it away. And then let's midfield waltz pass him without getting a glove on him. Konza was unlucky eariler but villa been totally outplayed at the moment. Need more from watkins as well. Grealish booked now aswell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

We look so poor in second half.
    Get barkley off fast.
Mcginn hasnt got the ball in second half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Just need to calm a bit really with the ball, too many risky, paniced passes. Not every ball has to be a killer ball.

Might as well give Conor a run, maybe his delivery can do something.

    Davis up front maybe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,442 ✭✭✭basillarkin

Harrison doing serious damage down the left for Leeds. Could be more if not careful

Surprised smith has not made more changes , whats he waiting for

  • Registered Users Posts: 681 ✭✭✭TheDenialTwist

    3-0 down now FFS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,036 ✭✭✭circadian

Leeds have us figured out now, they're looking very dangerous. Smith needs to move it around.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

This could be 4 or 5

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,081 ✭✭✭Patser

3-0 now that's just too easy..

Unbelievable pass to set them off, but after its in to box, we're piss poor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,081 ✭✭✭Patser

TBF that's 2 that Bamford got serious power on from minimal back lift, great technique

Leeds been very good this half and Villa just never came out this half. 2nd and 3rd goals should be closed down quicker, man should be right up against Bamford.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,967 ✭✭✭Synode

We've been awful the 2nd half. No movement in midfield at all.

3 of them standing there watching him shoot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

How are mcginn and barkley still on the pitch?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,442 ✭✭✭basillarkin

    Get barkley off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,057 ✭✭✭Brian201888

Leeds have battered us, so much energy and forced mistakes from us at every opportunity

Totally overrun and outplayed. Grealish, Barkley and McGinn all taking too much time on the ball. They win it and move it very very quickly.

Leeds by far the better team

Out performed tactically I'm afraid. Hard to take.

All the warnings were there, nothing done to fix it - maybe limited options to fix it

Even now, no real change beyond Traore for Trez...

Limited options and taking no action are two different things.

    There are options. Was options.

    Getting absolutely destroyed.

Leeds moving the ball so quickly. Bamford with two fantastic finishes.

If Grealish finishes that run like he should have or
Konza scores me may have gotten something but on the whole we don’t deserve anything.

Sad way for the 100% run to come to an end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,036 ✭✭✭circadian

Yeah they've stuck to just overloading the wing all night and it paid off. Once the first went in it felt like they'd sussed it out and we really needed to make a change there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

Leeds making changes and 3 nill up.
We are getting battered and none
    Crazy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭rebelomar

After 5 mins it was obvious they had the legs on us and too much space in behind our defence.

We needed to sit deeper and be patient. Smith changed nothing. Very dissapointing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,081 ✭✭✭Patser

    C'mon Smith!

Fresh legs at least McGinn and Barkley are shot - give Conor some time, Maybe even Elmo in as help for Cash

Did I say "stamp"? Did I say "dive"?

    No, I didn't.

    Another poster said that.

It was Bamford's "reaction" I was speaking of.

Smith seemed to buy in to the hype and it looks like they didn’t believe that Leeds had the tools to hurt us.

Our supporters had become too bullish as well so it’s a reality check for everyone. Gabby will rightly be copping loads on twitter after this

It's like the u16s vs u12s. Bigger, stronger, faster, fiteer and that's only the physical side of it.

Great performance from Leeds, they really found us out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 251 ✭✭Smurts

Absolutely extraordinary that there hasnt been more changes, bizarre.

Leeds done their homework, playing really good football, some classs finishes from Bamford too (as much as it pains me to say it...)

That's probably it, we were too attacking and open. Pushed Barkley and McGinn too far up and left too much space behind them. If we'd played as if we wanted 0-0 and snuffed out Leeds, we probably would have done much better

Why bother having a squad if you won't bring anyone on. It shows his total lack of faith of the player on the bench.

We've been well and truly outplayed :(

Dean Smith's major weakness has been badly shown up tonight. He is very poor tactically and Beilisa has easily out thought him and Smith isn't capable off countering it with any changes.

CM have gone totally awol since the first goal.

McGinn especially has been woeful tonight.

And Ming has been acting an idiot, got a needless yellow and had to pull out of a tackle which lead to the first goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

Smith had the same problem at times last year. He's too slow to make subs and try change things that aren't working

  • Registered Users Posts: 293 ✭✭AVFC.Stephen

Leeds have been brilliant. Thoroughly deserved

We never turned up. Was gonna happen that we lose just hope we dont hit a rut now

In fairness not one player on our bench would have made any difference. Horihane to come into the CM against leeds to make a difference?
