Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All

New to this thread. Just wondering if anybody knows if there are any over 40s cricket teams in the Dublin/Wicklow. I have never played the game but enjoy watching it and was just interested in giving it a go. If anybody has any info could they please let me know. Cheers

    Hi Spud.

Masters cricket is starting this year for the first time in Ireland, but is over 50s (http://www.cricketleinster.ie/news/cricket-leinster-launches-over-50s-cricket) Obviously that isn't much use to you!

Cricket is great for all ages though, and you could still play regular league cricket in your 40s (as you can all the way up to your 70s/80s ,there is a level for everyone)

Finally, as was mentioned, Taverners cricket could be an option as well. More relaxed cricket played on a pretty non-competitive basis.

For details of your nearest club, have a look at the Cricket Leinster site at http://www.cricketleinster.ie/join-up

Wicklow County based in Bray have a well established taverners team that play on Friday nights. I've played against them loads of times over the years.
