I'm looking to book flights to america with a 2 hour stop over in canada ...whats it like getting a canadian visa is it hard to get

If it's only a two hour stop over, I assume you don't plan on leaving the airport terminal?

In that case, you'll need a "Transit Visa", otherwise called a Temporary Resident Visa.

No they won't. Assuming OP holds and Irish passport, they will just need an eTA

Cool. Is the Transit Visa only for non-EU countries?

It's only for countries that are not visa exempt
