Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have 22 questions I like and 4 more that will do if needed. There's a chance there might be no crap questions this year! Though I'm sure you'll all let me know if you disagree :p

Any of the ones I get wrong will be crap:D even if they are good

OK, so for a mere innocent.

Tomorrow you ask a question, the answer of which is a number.

We answer on thread or by pm, by a certain time, and then you announce the scores the next day and ask another question?

    Have I got it?

Not on thread, as that could be seen as influencing others answers.

Eg. How many stars can be seen in the sky? If you answer on thread, then others may just copy what you say, and possibly sheeping. If everybody pms, then the answers remain blind, so no influencing.

    Pretty much :D

I'll post the question each day about 9am
    PM me answers by 7pm.
I'll do a mini reveal (scores and answers) each evening about 8-8:30pm

I'm probably overcomplicating the explanation. By day two it'll be clear, and the day one question is one that's hard to go too far wrong on :)

    Here. We. Go!

Good morning elves, welcome to day 1 of the Forum Games Sheepish Advent Calendar!
    3hua5d.gif

We kick off with some Christmas shopping...
    20112013-christmas-shoppers-752x501.jpg

Q1: What percentage of people (Irish adults) have yet to start their Christmas shopping?
PM me your answer before 7pm

Reminder, there is no "correct" answer, you'll be marked by how close you are to the middle be of all the answers I receive

Please don't divulge your answer on thread until the deadline passes, but hopefully we still have some good chatter :)

I'll reveal everyone's answers and scores this evening, probably about 8:30pm

I assume this question is for a normal Christmas year, not this year specifically?

Good point. Obviously everyone can read the question their own way but I was thinking in a normal year, same for all questions

Surely if you haven't started your Christmas shopping for previous years there's not much point in starting now.

In fairness to my husband he buys all his presents in October every year. He is a strange strange man.

My first sheep game. Answer submitted - thanks Electric Nitwit.

My shopping is mostly done at this stage, but that's just this year, not much else to be doing other than online shopping.

First time player here (popping over from the Christmas forum) & answer submitted.

FTR started the present shopping in September & more or less finished it last week.

I'm ashamed to say I have my Christmas Shopping all done this year, because of lockdown I did it all online there last week just to be on the safe side. Usually I wait until December 17th/18th head into the City Centre or Dundrum SC and try to beat my previous record of how quick I can do it from the year before... Last year I had the lot down to 23 minutes (which included till queueing time) and then went for lovely pints by myself, in a nice empty pub off the beaten track, with nary a Christmas decoration in sight (because Christmas is the worst), and it was great.

    Are you me???

(or aspirational me, never quite got to 23 mins, I am DEEPLY impressed!)

I've always believed its not something to waste much time or energy on, so I usually pick out 2-3 shops, usually got around 9 or 10 people to buy for, and the original goal when I was about 18 or 19 was to get everything done in less than an hour, and year by year I've whittled minutes off that time, until I now have it down to a fine art... ;)

It was either 23 or 18 I got it down to last year... I did write it down (because I'm a nerd like that) but can't find my daily planner from last year to confirm - was something in or around that anyway.
