Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Things have quietened down in the AMA forum of late and we'd like to get things back up and running. Personally I love the AMAs and always enjoy them no matter what the subject is. I think there are a lot of you who love reading them and asking questions too. I've collated a list (posted below) of the types of people/professions that people have mentioned here and in other forums that they would like to hear from. I've left out any that we've already covered. Let me know if any of these appeal to you and if you have any other suggestions, please post them here too and we'll see what people would really like to read about and do our best to organise them.

You can see a list of previous AMAs here.

If one of the suggestions applies to you, get in touch!
You can fill in this form to apply, or PM or email me niamh@boards.ie to find out more.

    Thanks all! :)

Someone who's blind; I can think of someone I might suggest do one but they're working 9-5 M-F which might pose an issue?

Plenty questions I have about how they receive the awkward/stupid/ignorant (whether deliberate or accidental!) questions from us "seeing" folks and the obstacles they've faced depending on whether blind from birth or when they went blind (gradually, overnight, in an accident etc.).

How Irish society treats 'em officially and unofficially socially, in the workplace etc. regarding adaptations, whether they feel like they've been had financially by ne'er do wells on the street etc.

Pet peeve of mine's the cars parked half up on/half off of paths and blocking buggies/prams/wheelchairs but if you're blind and have the stick it's as serious an issue and also if you've the guide dog.

    Somebody who does his own IT equipment repairs, and tries to get the most out of his aging IT gear;

Anybody who unashamedly part of the "Culturally Curious" market audience.

Anybody brave enough to declare that they don't "follow the crowd" as a millienial, generation x, generation y, whatever.

Thanks for the new suggestions folks. We've had a few new applications now that are for some of the types of people you've suggested, we will get them going asap (one at a time) :)

Keep the suggestions and the applications coming!

@eviltwin you suggested a trangender person, we had one with a transgender woman which is here if you'd like to have a read.

I'd love to hear from a long term rereg troll, to try and understand the motivation for wasting hours upon hours of their lives over the years, for posts that last a few minutes at most.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

She deserves more respect than that. That was a brilliant AMA.

I'd love to hear from someone in the recycling business.
Nobody seems to know what actually happens to stuff we throw in recycling bins.
How much gets recycled? how much discarded? Where does it go, what is it used for?
All the paper I have carefully separated, clean and dry for recycling, where is it now?

    All that, for real.
