Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No assist for the first goal AFAIK and the second was a free kick but I can't see who was fouled.

Diallo was fouled for the free.

I think a chap called Watts got the assist for the first.
    I watched it I just can't remember.
it wasn't a first team player that assisted anyway.

Reports say a Saints player (Watts as you say) controlled it but it was half cleared to N'Lundulu who finished. Don't think that is an assist.

No lower league upsets today sets up for a skinnier 29 and a thicker 26.

Reckon at least 6 (probably more) quarter finalists will be from the Premier League so really just depends how many of them are playing each other.

Technically you could have a 2 game blank in 29 (won’t actually happen) which would obviously make 26 much easier to plan for (but easier also for people who don’t do much planning)

City 1 down. If they somehow lose here, it’s guaranteed there will be at least one lower league team in the quarters.

City scored 3 goals. That's it.

Don't expect Mahrez to start any important game anytime soon after this performance.

Of course Cancelo finally gets an attacking return in the Cup...

It's staggering that he hasn't got a goal lately in the league. He's come so close several times. Hit woodwork. Great saves. His haul will come.

    Abraham hattrick.

Werner got a penalty (earned it), but didn't score.

    Not good for confidence boost.

That result would mean that only one of the Brighton v Newcastle/Burnley v Leicester games would move out of 29 into a DGW.

A Burnley win would mean that if Brighton were to beat Leicester, all 4 teams would likely blank in 29 and probably double in 26

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,554 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Would be interesting to see if a United exit here would create any kind of Bruno exodus. They’d just have Chelsea in 26 and City in 27 during a spell of mass double gameweeks.

I don’t want to get rid of him and don’t really want to wildcard West Ham players so I’ll be cheering for them though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,554 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Bruno’s DGW survives but people who have doubled and trebled up on West Ham will have to settle for a trip to Man City alone in 26.

A guaranteed home game against Arsenal in 29.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,193 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Burnley were downed 2-0 by Bournemouth and Man United won 1-0 after extra-time against West Ham with a McTominay goal and Rashford assist.

Barring a Swansea cup upset, the game with the most riding on it for FPL would appear to be Leicester v Brighton.

While the week that Brighton v Newcastle happens in probably doesn’t affect too many, the week where Burnley and Leicester play definitely does.

I heard talk that Potter doesn’t tend to prioritise the cup competitions, however, with Brighton being 10 points clear of relegation, and Leicester having a top 4 six pointer in Saturday’s early game, could it actually end up the other way around?
