Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Evening all, my 8th gen Honda civic sometimes makes karrrrr sound immediately after the engine starts, this happens very rarely but I'm thinking it could get worse. Anyone hazard a guess to what it could be.

Sticking bendix on the starter motor.

Record the sound on your phone if you can, using camera in video mode, and upload to YouTube

Look on YouTube for sticking Bendix videos

As said sometimes the starter motor can stay engaged to engine, when it should unconnected once engine is running. This causes squeeling from starter motor where it runs far too fast. Assuming its that it can sometimes be cured by removing and lubricating starter motor gearing. Just make sure battery is disconnected as massive unfused power is at starter motor connections. There is a gear on a spring that nay be sticking in. The same problem can be caused if the key sticks in the start position or the switch or relay triggered by key sticks.
