Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whether you can or you cannot make this trip please consider donating by http://backintodaylight.com/under-construction/. To book a seat send €30 via paypal to backintodaylight@gmail.com or pay through above link. Use reference BURREN.

Back Into Daylight is an Irish rescue centre and animal sanctuary, home to Arthur – a wild boar, a goat, eleven cats, six dogs, 80 hens, and two humans. They aim to give all animals under their care a loving home. Back Into Daylight promotes veganism and strives to show people how wonderful all animals are, and that they are not ours to eat or use in any way. For more information visit http://backintodaylight.com/

    The Burren Tour
    - Walk in the world famous Burren region. The Burren is an area of scenic, archaeology, uniqueness, and unsurpassed beauty. It is renowned for its remarkable assemblage of plants and other animals and the region supports many rare Irish species, some of which are only found in this area. The landscape is a unique panorama of greys that provide such a stark contrast to Ireland’s proverbial ‘forty shades of green’. The Burren is also home to over 500 ring forts and over 80 known Neolithic tombs. (http://www.burrenbeo.com/)

    - Poulnabrone Dolmen: Visit the ancient megalithic tomb on the karstic limestone pavement of the Burren dating back to 2500 BC. This is one of the most famous and photographed dolmens in Ireland.

    - Drive along the beautiful Atlantic coastline including through the picturesque coastal village of Kinvara at the head of Kinvara Bay.

    - Visit either the Medieval city of Galway or the natural wonder of the Cliffs of Moher. Galway City is a popular, thriving, bohemian, cultural city and a favourite with tourists.
The Cliffs of Moher are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction. They stretch for 8km (5miles), as the crow flies, along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland and reach 214m (702 feet) at their highest point at Knockardakin just north of O’Brien’s Tower.

Back Into Daylight would like to express their profound gratitude to the generous gentleman who donated free of charge the use of this bus, driver, and tour for the day. Without whom this tour would not be possible

All I know is they're based in the East, they're vegan, looks like they've been around for 2 years from the site. Seems to be a mixture of farmed animals like the chickens that were rescued from battery cages, some stray animals, animals that were abandoned etc. I hadn't heard of them before either but they have a facebook page and a website.

I didn't even think there was any animal sanctuaries like this in Ireland till a while ago. There is of course Eden Farm Sanctuary as well. I really like the idea of farmed animal sanctuaries, always a good thing to support.
