    Hi everyone,

I am looking for advice on what would be the best route to train to become an accountant with the intention of eventually becoming a chartered accountant.

I am currently completing a 4year Business Management Degree Part Time and I am currently in year 2. Financial Accounting is one of the core subjects and I really enjoy it.

What would be the best way to become an accountant? Should I continue with the Business Management Degree or consider taking the Certificate after year 2 and look at doing a specific Accountancy course?

PS. I currently work in Construction and I am looking for a career change.

Finish your degree in any case, you'll a more rounded business education and you will also get exemptions from the exams as well.

At the same time, keep an eye out for any opportunities to get job an accounting department in industry or practice.
