Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No payment yet- anyone else waiting?

Yes. I have to ring them again this week. My file hasn't been completed yet. Nothing wrong with it.

Same here - told to ring back - no reason for the delay.:(

Still waiting hard on it here, I usually get it right away.

Nothing here yet. Got paid during ploughing time last year. Seems to be going out a bit slower and later this year so not worried yet.

Is there any date where the BPS will definitely have been paid? I've let a shed and the guy still hasn't paid for last winter.
Plus he owes a year to my late husband (he said he paid him a year behind which I should have queried but I wasn't in a great state the first winter). When he was coming in and out to the yard he'd keep promising the cheque and saying he'd have a loan soon enough to cover it, but now he hasn't returned my calls since the start of the summer. It's a few thousand which I could do with, but it's the anxiety of having to chase him that's my biggest worry.

I had a look at the department website and he got over 50k last year so if I wait until he definitely has had his paid then he can't do the poor mouth and fob me off again.
    ======================================

Agree with the advice below . Life is too short to be messing around with such people. Nothing as impactful as calling to the house asking for Payment. If nothing doing , its best remind him what will be happening at end of the month . ie Talk to Lawyer & put collection in their hands. If there's a written agrmt . best know the terms . If no agrmt I wud be thinking of getting some else in place with strong agrmt .Best Of Luck. P

When I called today I was told there are thousands of files awaiting approval. Don't know if they are just fobbing me off or if this is true.
They could not give me a reason for the delay with my own file. Frustrating.

I asked when could I expect payment, there was no clarity.

Why keep phoning, if there's nothing queried it'll come in time, People phoning is probably slowing it even more and taking them away from their work. They obviously weren't ready to pay it out....what else is new, although they're usually alright

    Nope.

    Has there been an explanation?
Are delayed files different to last year?
Did I read a few months ago that a whole new satellite checking was going on nationwide?

Simple there an incompetent bunch ,bps/disadvantage applications are in since May what are they at since then and why leave it to start dealing with queries till now ????,I had a correspondence to deal with in August an over claim of 0.004 of hectare overclaim ,I accepted it on line on 04/08 on 10/09 it was still outstanding so I rang and was told ohh Yeadh u accepted the reduction but we havnt processed it yet wasn’t given an answer as to why but check again in a week I checked again following day and 5 days later still nothing rang twice a day for following 5 days before someone pressed a button somewhere to process it ,not good enough and as for the overclaim on above amount of he ,ridiculous and o had spare entitlements

Got a letter this morning from the Dept about a Remote Sensing inspection.

    Dated yesterday.

It said that processing of payment will now commence in relation to area based schemes.

Wonder if am absolutely massive no. of these inspections are being done.

Not much help as I got paid first round, but sometimes on my agfood the amounts due tab doesn’t show up unless I refresh the page.

    Still nothing.

Will ring them again tomorrow. You now have to enter your pps number before you get to talk to anyone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,327 ✭✭✭kollegeknight

Got a bloody letter. We were remotely inspected and they knocked .8Ha around the place: I’m just going to accept it as I don’t want them coming for a walk around inspection.

.4Ha of it belongs to what will be the brothers site anyway so we won’t have that area next year anyway.

Hope it doesn’t hold us up too long as overdraft near it’s limit.

I rang this morning. You now have to key in your pps number at the beginning. On hold for 6 minutes. When she went into my profile error js coming up the same as on my agfood. She said she'd ring me back.

Isn't everywhere getting that sat inspection in the next year and they started with Louth,I remember reading that somewhere?
In fairness the departments code of practice agreed with the IFA should mean something not your fault like this is ruled out
I mean would it be too simple for them to pay out on time and to adjust later for any changes?

That was the fourth phone call and the first mention of a satellite inspection

All the satellites must've been busy since you submitted your application.

Did I understand right that any issues relating to payments should've been notified to farmers in writing since a few weeks ago, something to do with the farmers charter? (The yoke the dept wipe their arse with seemingly).

    You'd think so, wouldn't you?

But farmers cash flow seems better used to supply the Government with petty cash for their other, more important cash requirements like social welfare and other productive sectors:(

See in the IFJ that 50% are held up whilst the satellite pics are reviewed.
