Yeah the fact that they're giving objectives to do in Rivals just means people will start relegating themselves and the players that are actually in the lower divisions and trying to play well get completely fcuked over.

You'd think after introducing an entirely new selection of friendlies game modes they'd have you use those for objectives instead of ruining one of their competitive modes.

10-12 in weekend league. Should get at least 1 from my last 8. Hoping to get the 4.

Today feels so different than yesterday, in terms of players I'm up against.

Yesterday was a blast. Most people were playing mid-lines, with a nice variety of teams.

Today is just all PL teams, with Rashford , Martial and Zaha up front, 1 depth, hoofing long balls. I'm better able to break them down today than last week, and I'm setting my own back line deep to counter (amazingly, they don't know how to defend once I do that and can hoof balls forward to my own pacy front 4).

8-8 at the moment, I'll be happy with another Gold 3 finish but think I could jump to Gold 2 this weekend. Here's how the team currently looks, they all get 10 chem in 451 but this is the in-game formation:

Happened to me before, make sure you pick your own kits for both you and your opponent.

I am out of country for a week so will have 7 days less to complete icon swaps. Will be worse than fut champions I guess...

Rivals is bolloxed at the moment, can't get a game going with everyone quiting to get relegated to lower divisions, I get the coins but no win\loss and it adds a game onto my stats and takes away contracts, ridiculous

The least they could do is score an OG before quiting, ****.

Spent nearly all day doing the objectives - completed La Liga last night then did Bundesliga and Ligue 1 just today. Worked out very well that I packed Coman and Lozano in the MM today, Coman unreal and sold after completed the objective.
Ligue 1 was a bit of a struggle though... had average players with a lot of non-rares. Still managed to beat a 1M+ coin PL team 4-1. The poor fella started shushing me after going 1-0 up from a penalty. Cue myself dabbing and shushing to my hearts content for 4 goals :pac:

Sold some players for unusually big prices today, a Greek CB in la liga for 7000 coins. And Rogic for Celtic for 4000 too.

Gonna do all the squad battle challenges today, its Sunday so hopefully from squad battle packs I'll get first owned players to attempt the rivals objectives.

I've won the 6 games with an 83 overall rated team so that's that ticked off. Gonna go for the Eredivisie challenge next. Haven't got much in my club as I always gut it so need to buy a few players now.

On the 6 wins in squad battles with a gold 83 squad just pick one of the leagues, eg. Eredivise and make sure you have an all gold 83 or under squad, even if you start a striker in left back you can sub in 3 players once game kicks off.

That way you’re completing the eredivise and gold 83 in one go.
I know you already have it complete but it might help others.

Same with the rivals gold 83, just tie it in with one of leagues and you’ll kill 2 birds with one stone.

Hit that 11 wins, lost the next three on the bounce. Just hit a brick wall. Wasn't able to score at all, despite getting 20 shots on target.

Not hopeful but still going give it a shot to get 3 wins in 4.

Do icons/other special cards like potm still count as gold for those objectives?

Still 6-3 in wl as I had no time yesterday. Hoping to get enough wins later to get the 2000 points at least.

I'm liking the icon swaps objectives. Wonder never have used a full MLS, Erdvisie team otherwise. Have three of the tokens so far, and will get a fourth and fifth today hopefully.

The only problem is I'm about to be promoted in Div Rivals. Don't have enough good players in any of the leagues to try get the icons objectives for first owners, but need to grind Div Rivals to get rank 2 for better chance of good untradeables....

I'll also be away for two weeks in a few days so need to try and complete as much as I can before then.

My only problems with Icons Swaps are:

1. Why the time wall between the first set of tokens and the second? I'm gonna have all 12 tokens in the next couple days and the next 12 don't release for almost 4 weeks. I get that not everybody will have done the objectives this quickly but what's the harm in allowing those who want to do them all immediately the ability to do so?

2. This one doesn't matter as much but I feel like they could've been a little more generous with their prices, especially for the Base Icon Pack which has a huge chance of containing something awful like Base Nakata or Klose but costs 18 tokens.

Also as an aside, I still can't believe Guardiola has been given an Icon card at all, never mind the fact that his Prime is the same rating as Lampard's!

Haha, of course the danger if you get a last min free or penalty while level and you pause is that they’ll quit.
But def handy for penalty shootouts until it gets patched or if you’re trailing and get a late penalty or free

18-5 myself this weekend. Rage quit a couple just to get easy wins as I knew I wouldn't get the 20 wins in. Happy enough with 2 rare megas.

I hate to blame the game because I could've just lost anyway but I'm gonna have to stop playing, the last 2 games have had unplayable amounts of button delay, haven't experienced anything like this this year, if only it could've waited 1 more game

87 barnes has been great. 57 games 64 goals all rivals/wl and that includes all the games I rage quit :pac:

Rest of my team is god awful though. Going to try and get Lenglet on thursday and hope he'll stop people walking through standing tackles.

Went and played a game of SB with my Chinese league team for the objectives, came back to WL and got a quick forfeit, gonna try to win 3 of 4 now to get Gold 2 but no expectations.

VVD, Gomez and surprisingly Laporte, are the CBs that I’ve come up against that I can’t walk past.

Barnes is great fun.....more so after playing 60+ games and then remembering he's left footed, not right. Not my proudest moment

Is it a thing that you get matched against 5-10 million coin squads if you have more than 7+ first owner players in your team to make the objectives harder? I am getting them every single game. It's actually getting ridiculous.

Finished on 12 wins in Champs. What a shítshow that was. I had two games where I disconnected with a message saying match under review but my internet was fine.

There were loads of games where passes weren't going where I was aiming. A few games also I had button delay. Tackles are broken too, you go in for a tackle and the attacker somehow comes away with the ball regardless.

I'm already getting sick of the game and it's not even a month in.

The phantom tackles are why im hating the game. I cant excuse my bad play but when my last defenders tackles dont register it is driving me up the wall
