Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Want to install a backboiler

Just signed contracts to buy a house and it currently has an open fire place in sitting room (with no back boiler), house is oil heated.

Was looking for some advice on potential cost of installing a stove with a back boiler?

Looks like the hot press is directly above the fireplace (upstairs). I know a full survey/consultancy would be needed by an expert obviously to size up the job. But I was wondering could anybody give me a ballpark estimate of how much this would cost?

    Cheers in advance

Including a decent stove capable of heating 8-10 roadside say you won’t get any change out of 5k

Totally depends on the house in question. Concrete floors, how hard are they etc
