Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Try communicating with the manufacturer to see what they say.

Have you written confirmation that they agreed to pay hire car for duration?

    - If not done already, make sure all communication is in writing.
    - Specify a specific time and date that you expect to be paid by and if not, you will consult a solicitor. Again, whether the agreement for payment of 25 per day is in writing is important. The reason for needing to go to a solicitor is that the current cap on small claims claims is 2k. If you were to bring a small claims case you could probably do so yourself but the it is worth noting that award sought possibly falls outside the jurisdiction of the small claims given that you are seeking 25 per day over 3 months.
    - Another route you could consider would be telling the manufacturer that you are willing to share your experience with the media. That may speed the process up slightly!

Good luck and keep us posted!

Just on time linit, we are living in strange times - components are difficult to get due to covid so i dont see any point in throwing your weight around re time line. I would however get a solicitor to write to them immediately re the outstanding car hire costs.
I find it odd that they agreed to that to begin with.
