‘Steve Davis and Friends’ - c2000

    Discussion with Tony Knowles

Has insightful/interesting bits in it. Good discussion on their 1982 WC match in particular.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

This one is topical, given at the time of writing John Parrott has announced his retirement at the World Seniors 2022.

30 years ago the BBC did a feature on a world championship QF match in 1985. It was between 52 year old Ray Reardon, and John Parrott, then aged 21.

Final Frame decider 12-12. 35 on the table.

This is the fella from the youtube channel 'break from life' doing a world record 'lowest clearance'.

Rules are - all the reds have to be above the blue spot and the break must be filmed for it to count.

WST did cartoon versions of snooker stories from players/former players in 2021.

This one is Ken Doherty talking about his game against Alex Higgins at The Crucible in 1994.

This one is another throwback Australian Walter Lindrum demostrates a 100 break in Billards (1932)

Can see why it helped snooker players who played Billards as well. But can understand why people got bored watching- those close canons would be a rerack in snooker! Can really hear how heavy the balls are as well mad sound.

Another one from the 1930’s Billiards for- ladies! Reanne Evans eat your heart out!

@59:00 Ms Ruth Harrison shows how it’s done!

This one is good, just two lads playing down the club.

The two bits I found unusual was -

    1) The high break list on the board was 151 by Williams

    2) Williams seemed to forget the year he beat Hendry on the black in the masters

Arguably the most tense snooker match in history. Reanne Evans v Mark Allen

This is one for the mods or snooker loopy posters. Is it worthwhile/waste of time to start a 147 YouTube thread? List them all in chronological order with you tube links.

Time of writing there is over 180 of them. But would it be wasted time because of a link no longer works it cannot be ninja edited after a while? I just think it would be nice to have them all in one place and ordered.

The Hendry Cue Tips channel is very good. Essential viewing at this stage.

The interview Hendry did with Shaun Murphy was gas and revealing. Because first of all Shaun couldn't stop talking to take the time to pot a ball.

But I got the impression that a lot of Murphy does is a front for the camera, he says and does what he thinks people want to hear/see.

Murphy basically admitted as much. When Hendry asked him is he too nice when he loses? Murphy seemed more worried about appearing like a bad loser, when inside he would be fuming.

Not YouTube as such, but BBC Wales.

A programme about Doug Mountjoy, to be aired tonight.

BBC One - Legends of Welsh Sport, Series 2, Doug Mountjoy

Might end up on YouTube like the Ray Reardon one did

I had forgotten this one a Ronnie maximum back in the 1999 Grand Prix v Dott.

It is the best 147 I think have seen for the amount of manoeuvring that had to be done with the cueball. As the reds were scattered and blocking each other. Some really nice effortless shots.

Plus not only that Ronnie got a Vaxuall Vectra for it.

    Plus £5000.

Higgins routine looks like the toughest

Snooker themes and titles (TV Intros etc 1971-2019)

Warning you need to like ‘drag racer’ or variations of it. But biggest shock for me was Virgo without a beard 1971.
