Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Golf Channel showing pretty much every shot if you have it. She made a nice bounce back birdie after a bogey to get back tied for the lead.

Really bad dropped shot from middle of fairway on 11, then rattles in birdie putt on 12 followed by poor drive on 13. Just struggling to get any kind of rhythm going, but hanging in ok.

Followed by very good par putt on 13th.

Yeah, three pars, a bogey and a birdie in her last five holes.
She's very shaky off the tee today, it's costing her. Short game has been excellent.
She just hit a decent drive on the par five so here's hoping.
Danielle Kang has joined her at -6 which is a concern. She's up on the green on the same par five and she just birdied to go to -7.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

Had the exact same bunker shot Kang had and nearly holed it. Smashing shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

How did that putt not drop? Absolutely robbed of birdie on 17. 4 down the last for a 72 would be a decent days work in the circumstances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,934 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Parred the last to shoot a +1 round which wasn't bad after the start. One behind Danielle Kang now going into round 3.
Needs to do some work to tighten up the game tonight.

I'd say she won't be too unhappy given the start she had. Two bad mistakes from middle of fairway on 11 & 16 were disappointing really but otherwise she was solid enough. Dermot Byrne definitely a positive addition on the bag.

Dreadful day for her, 41 shots for front 9 and outside the top 30 now.

Pathetic performance. No other way of dressing it up. After the matchplay meltdown and now this it doesn't auger well.

Her approach on the 1st got stuck in a tree just short of the green. They couldn’t identify it and she ran out of time. Went back to hit 4 from the fairway and then the ball fell out of the tree and nearly hit a caddy while the players were putting. That cost her the double on the first. Not sure what happened on 9.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭tobsey

Super eagle on the last. Had a disappointing bogey on the back 9 but really steadied the ship. Hopefully she can go low tomorrow and she might have a chance. I didn’t see any of the 9th hole but the commentators said she made a few mistakes and ended up with a triple. Seems to have played well apart from that. The double on the first was very unlucky.

Hopefully at least a top 10 tonight to continue her good season.

-2 for final round with 4 holes left, just the one dropped shot on the day. Kind of encouraging to see such a steady performance after the disasters that pockmarked her last 2 rounds. -6 overall and just inside top 10, be good if she can maintain that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,934 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Be nice to see her finish strong, give her confidence for next week.

She's going to birdie 15, brilliant bunker shot to about 18 inches.

Some round of golf from the Finnish girl in the lead, -6 for her front 9, a 2020 rookie same as Leona. A lot of talent our there, be interesting to see if she can hold it together over the finishing stretch.

Since this wasn't on Sky / Sky Youtube, where could we have seen this ? Golf Channel / NBC Sports can't be viewed outside States easily. Are those channels on Apple TV or something ?

Came across this article about her lost ball penalty in round 3, she was very unlucky.

Getting plum draws now in rounds 1 and 2 also, this week Jessica Korda and Stacey Lewis.

Great start again, needs to perform today to keep her in it. I think last week she shot over par for round 2 and she never found her rhythm again after that.

Off to a flyer, 3 birdies in her first 4 holes. 1 off the lead, all around her are finished round 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

    In turbo mode!

Hopefully no wild ones, just keep her steady and don't be giving cheap shots back. Some run of form from her to be fair.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,708 ✭✭✭Speak Now

5 birdies in 9 holes, solo lead starting her back 9 (front 9)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

Bogey on her 10th. Think that's her first of the week. Still joint lead.

And a bounce back at 12. Good stuff. Keep battling

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭tobsey

Made another birdie and now just made eagle at 8 for a two shot lead with one to play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭tobsey

Birdied the last as well for -8 and -15 overall. Joint best round today after the best yesterday. 3 shot lead.

Eagle, birdie finish. She shrugged off those consecutive bogeys well :D some going to follow a 65 with a 64.

Strange that all the leading 3-ball started slowly, 2 are level par (incl Leona) and one is +1. The 7 or 8 behind them are 2 to 4 under. Hope they’re not dragging each other down.
Still a 2 shot lead but the pack is bunching.

Pars on the first 4 for, plenty birdies for the chasing pack outside of her own group.

Level Par after 8 which has seen her joined at the Top. Everyone else is a few under par today.

Needs to pick up a few birdies coming home.

Shame we've lost the live coverage but good she's back as sole leader again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 347 ✭✭Scrabbel

Nelly Korda 2 clear now, -9 for the day with par 5 18th to come. Leona will need to birdie one of the last 2 to stay close

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

Hopefully up and down for birdie on 18. Still an ok day regardless, be in final group tomorrow and chance of another step forward. 62 for Korda, not much you can do about that, her last 2 birdie putts lipped the hole and dropped in, everything went for her but super round in fairness.

Stone cold putter, missed birdie from 6 feet.

Some round for Nelly, 11 birdies! Everything dropped, even the lip ins as you said.

I see Leona teeing off at 4.05 with nelly tomorrow so hopefully golf Channel show most it and then can catch the US open.

What a start. 4 holes in, she's clawed back Kordas lead, level on -20, 4 shots clear. Roll on live coverage!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,708 ✭✭✭Speak Now

Joint lead after 4 holes, reversal of yesterday's start. 3 birdies in a row from the second for Leona.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,058 ✭✭✭blackcard

Leona 3 under after 4, level with Nelly Korda, 4 clear of the rest of the field

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 668 ✭✭✭mjsc1970
