Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

External Cladding Removal

Looking for advice with very rough costing
Thinking about buying a house with pebbledash exterior but current owner has applied cladding to the bottom half of the external facade. Need to get a broad estimate of how much this may cost - prior to offer /purchase
Bit of a DIY / renovation novice and not sure where to start in terms of understanding ballpark cost to do this

Photo attached and floor plan showing dimensions of the front facade (sitting and home office). not sure what's underneath - presumably the original pebble dash facade but not sure how the cladding is attached

What do you intend to do after , pebble dash the complete front again or render the whole front ?

Could it have been done for insulation purposes?

You'll would be best ring a couple of plasterer's and get a quick quote. I would say the bulk of the cost would be labour for removing the cladding and old pebble dash/plaster . If you could do that yourself you would prob save quite a bit. Talk to a plasterer.
