Canada should be on the green list with less than halve the cases per 100,000 that Ireland has.

The current date for Canada opening fully to all travellers is September 7th.

Yes vaccinations are required to avoid quarantine. Also there’s a pre-departure test and arrival test required as well. The arrival test is free.

It looks like rapid test is allowed for now for pre-departure testing

All this info is available on the canada.ca website. There's an app called ArrivCan that you upload proof of your vaccination to and this is reviewed by the border agent when you arrive in Canada.

Your information on the 7th September was spot on. Do you know if flying from Canada to Dublin whether a PCR test is required, also people from Ontario have not a digital covid passport.

No PCR test required if fully vaccinated. There’s some confusion over whether mixed vaccines count as fully vaccinated (I think they mixed Pfizer and moderna in some cases in Ontario). I think you just need the vaccination card, no need for digital cert if coming from Canada.

Thanks, I know that in Ontario they do not issue a digital passport. In fact , they only get a receipt,like a shopping receipt.In Manitoba they get a card.In Quebec they get a QR code,it seems Ontario is way behind everyone else.
