    Hi
We're looking at doing a large extension which will require Planning Permission.

We're searching for an Architect to draw up plans for us but, before we ask for Architects costs etc we're just wondering what we should look out for.
Previously an Architect advised that they normally organise the full work, from drawings to appointing the contractors.

    a) Costs - how are the costs normally set.
    b) Drawings - can we get drawings only

What important questions / issues should we be asking / looking out for in discussions with the Architect.

Any basic tips would be appreciated before we get into this area.

    Thank you
