Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Opinion on Window blinds

    We recently got window blinds (professionally) installed. And they have done a great job except for the the bay window to the front its a box bay window ie rectangular. 3 blinds required. We had roller blinds previously on this window and they were fine, they were staggered at the top so the middle one was lower than the two side ones only at the top.

    Now these new ones have to be installed all at the same level. The guy who came to measure up did say there would be a gap but we never expected what we've been left with. They say they have be installed like that and spring loaded blinds (which we had before) can be staggered (however they never offered us spring loaded blinds.

    They were fairly pricy seeing as we got the whole house done, but to say we are disappointed is an under statement.

    Not really aDIY question but just wondering on peoples opinions.. is a case of tough and learn to live with it...anyone else ever encountered this problem?

    Yep looks pretty bad. I didn’t think they allowed cords any more as they are a choke hazard for kids.

    OP try reversing the blind it might look better. So unwind it fully and keep winding it so that it hangs on the opposite side.

    Thats a good idea ill give that a go. AFAIK cords are fine but the regs stipulate that they must be thought and fixed to the wall to avoid a choke hazard.

    Ah for heavens sake that is ridiculous. Even if the gap were acceptable, which it isn't, that cobbled together business at the top where the rollers meet is not good. There must be a better solution than that.
