Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Many thanks to all who voted- and a special thanks to Myksyk whose hard work keeps this ‘ challenge’ going week after week.

    It’ll be no surprise to hear that this pic was taken along the Dodder, a super wildlife amenity and a lifesaver in lockdown.


    A group of cormorants has made a home for themselves along the river atop a 100 foot old Laundry chimney( now defunct and used only as an aerial site for a mobile phone company).

    From there they venture out on their fishing expedition each day.

    Cormorants are almost prehistoric in looks and through some quirk in evolution their wings are not fully water repellent like those of most other aquatic birds.

    And so after their food-searching swim, they emerge from the water and spread and often flap their wings to dry them!

    Shutter Speed : 1/320( with vibration compensation ON)
