Moved to spreading straights here. Were spreading blends 18’s etc. Just using Urea, straight Phos and MOP at back end, with S as required. This should cut our feet spend by 10%. (CAN when conditions not suitable for Urea)

Only issue is two extra rounds with spreader without N. Any pastures not reseeded in past 10 years receiving conventional treatment.

    All ph over 6.5

I've spead 23units of urea on all the ground in January. Will do the same again after grazing. No lime required on any of the ground except the 13 acres i bought in December. That needs Ps &Ks too... and a few days with a 20 tonner.

Not really at the scale here to go with straights. And time is at a premium with the day job taking priority. P is index 3 or 4 throughout and only a coulpe of fiels in 2's for K.

I think I read in Journal a few weeks ago that fert prices are set to increase as year goes on.....must price around in next week.

Do people find that some smaller co-op stores charge a premium for waiting to deliver the fert till you actually need to use it?....

Don’t mind paying upfront but don’t want the stuff delivered and sitting in yard till April when it’s dry enough to put out on land.
With all the drones scoping out farmers yards now you could wake up some morning to no fertiliser!

Prices went up this month. Dairygold give a 6 euro early delivery discount. Had trouble with protected urea +S last year so not getting it till I use it this year. It has a short enough shelf life esp when there is S or K in it as well

Gen38% +7 sulphur (protected urea) 360 last weekend
