Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aftermarket Tool Rest for Record Grinder

    Hello,

I bought this grinder: https://www.recordpower.co.uk/support/page/product/prod/rsbg8-8-bench-grinder-with-40mm-whitestone-with-uk-plugnew, about a year ago and am just setting it up. The tool rests seem very sloppy, and only clicks into preset angles, so I want to get another one (or two). Primarily for chisels, plane blades and gouges, no turning tools. I see that the Veritas one has slots with a max stone width of 1 1/2"/ 38mm - so no good for the 40mm stone on this grinder.

    Any other recommendations or tips?

    Thanks

There’s a wide blade accessory for the Veritas guide as an extra option

    Thanks JayZeus.

There's a "Table for 1-1/2" Wheels for Veritas Grinder Tool Rest" listed on the veritas site is that what you mean?

1.5" = 38mm and these are 40mm, do you have one , do they fit the 40mm wheels?

    Thanks

Ah, that’s the one. If it were up to me, I’d widen the slot to suit. I don’t have one, but that will certainly do the job.
