Hi guys, I'm currently a soul trader working as a carpenter in dublin usually subcontracting off large builder.
Iv now decided this is a waste of time as I'm not making much more than if i worked directly for another contractor and now with covid 19 prices have been driven down again promoting me to pull away from this even though it was good to me in previous years. Ive been doing the above for 20 years now so I'm very experienced in that field.

I Plan to just do private work on private houses, i am confident i can easily do the work, my problem lies with switching from soul trader to limited company.

I feel i must switch for a more professional look and indeed to protect my self from any problems that could arise.

    My main questions are

is it best to use a firm to form the business for me (advice on one would be great)

Should i use an accountancy software subscription to take care of the more tax reporting a company has to do. (again advice on which one)

I would need public liability insurance, is there other insurance i would need?

Where do i get a template for headed paper and company invoice

Sorry if the questions seem a bit basic but thats where I'm at the moment.

Looking forward to hearing from yous
