Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Your bike looks very clean Zascar, I thought it was a 695 at first. I really love Monsters! I'm on my third one now, here is a picture of my 95 M900

nice bike sessh. I'm also on my third monster. My first was a 620 dark with termis. I miss the loud exhausts. My neighbours don't though :D

OK, open the pic, then right click - go down to properties and click on that - look for where it says Address: (URL) - this will start with http.//etc.
Now copy that, and then close that window.

Now back here to post e reply - at the top, find the icon that says 'insert image' - a window will open, and ask you to enter the URL of your image.
Delete the http that is there, and now just paste the URL that you copied earlier - click OK, and that should work.

I did all that mate, several times and with several variations of the pic but still to no avail.
I have a feeling that fotopic pics are not linkable or something. If you click on http://newimages.fotopic.net/?iid=yvyn8x&outx=600&noresize=1&nostamp=1 nothing happens but if you copy and paste the url into a browser the link opens.

There's fewer things prettier in this world than a well kept V Max IMHO.
Much nicer than the new incarnation.

WoW, that looks madder than a bag of frogs. I seen a show on them a while back, savage machine.

Whats it like to drive ?

Madder than a bag of frogs ;)
Nah it's great crack around town or twisty back roads. Loads of torque, very light and nimble. The seat is like a plank of hard wood though so long spins are a no no.

Me? Akros on the KTM. The baffles are still in but it sounds sweet without being too loud + they are about 2 stone lighter than the stockers.

Well if it's wheelies you fancy, get yourself a supermoto and even better a 650cc supermoto ;)
Although the KTM950 SM or the Ducati SM are fairly handy at the wheelies too but a bit heavier.

My wet tyres were completely fooked and I had about 6 or 7 lowsides that day! That picture was taken just after I saved a lowside with my knee but by doing so I nearly fell off the bike!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,918 ✭✭✭Steffano2002

Here's a pic of a saved lowside. Front is tucked (wheels aren't alined if you look closely) but I'm holding it up with the knee:

Was lucky not to hit the deck that day I tell you!

This smiley is a perfect representation of how I looked lowsiding all over the place that day!

The worse was on my first flying lap when I took the first corner at about 240kmph and I felt the front tuck... Wasn't showing off then I tell you!

More about this dreadful day here: http://www.biker.ie/forum/showthread.php?t=78814

I'd love one of these myself. It was on the wish list recently when I picked up my new ZZR. The only thing that turned me off was the tiny tank and lack of luggage options.

Very nice. How does it handle compared to 2 wheels ?

Well its not the same feeling as when I take a corner on my monster. I only got the 250 version, there is an MP3 400 and Gilera make the Fuoco 500 version. But definitely its not slow in the corners. Besides lacking punch on the exit of the corner, I think it handles quite well in corners!

I bought it from a guy in London, so I had a nice long journey back from London to Holyhead. I turned off at the M54 and then went along the A5 up through Wales. Lots of beautiful scenery there and plenty of twisty roads. I found it was a lot of fun on these roads. Without trying to push to track day levels I felt I was going as fast in corners as I would on the Monster. But maybe I'm just a slow rider? :) I don't think I'm that slow though!

You need to look more closely, I think you'll find they are exactly the same colour!
