Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Curriculum & Year end test, 2nd year English

Anyone know where I might find the curriculum for 2nd year English and broadly what kind of exam to expect.

Number one son has come home saying that the exam will be almost entirely based on reviewing their class based assessment. He is normally pretty reliable but this seems quite odd.

    Thanks in advance.

The guidelines suggest using the CBA as the summer test. That's what happens in my school.
You'll find the curriculum here https://www.curriculumonline.ie/Junior-cycle/Junior-Cycle-Subjects/English but there are no specific rules regarding where the class should be at the end of second year, provided they have covered a novel and drama.
This is the new JC, with less emphasis on exams, more material to cover and a whole pile of uncertainty.
