Are Steam hours on record accurate? Some bloke has 420 hours playtime on Sakura Spirits:eek:

    HE888sU.jpg

In fairness to him, perhaps he just passed out and left it running while he was in a fap coma?

You know..... for 17 days or so.....

Given that Humble have given it absolutely zero the amount of hype as their usual bundles, the whole thing feels like they're just humouring that guy from the office.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,506 ✭✭✭✭Xenji

Just a few hundred sales off the 75k mark now, it should easily outsell the Sekai Project bundle.

I wonder if Humble Bundle will ever make the same amount of money they made from that EA bundle they had ages ago. It's crazy to think they raised €10m for charity for that.

In fairness though, theyre all AAA titles for the most part (regardless of actual quality). plenty of folk would have seen that as an amazing deal.

The suffering and the suffering ties that bind are now available on Gog. I think they are pretty awful games but some people seem to like them.

In news about actually good games a release of Okami on pc ps4 and xbone has been leaked.

It's making me sad every time I see SEGA promoting a game called Endless Space 2 because for a second I think it's Infinite Space 2 :(

Supernatural stuff happening in a prison. Loads or gore and angst that will appeal to a teenager.

It's hilarious that the Sakura Humble Bundle is probably the first time I've seen Steamgifts not be absolutely flooded with HB keys. People so badly don't wanna be seen buying it that they're not even giving it away for easy SG stats.

FF12 finally beaten. Yiazmat was more a pain in the ass than actually difficult. Zodiark on the other hand was a complete bellend to beat. Overall I really liked it even if it has its flaws and there's far better RPGs out there. Big change from hating it. I think a lot of that is due to the fast forward options. It's a pity it was so rushed. Imagine FF12 with a storyline to match Tactics Ogre. If only.

    Time for sleep.

Finished replaying Dishonoured there, but am now kinda Dishonoured out, so I need a break before starting on Dishonoured 2.

I've started on Sleeping Dogs instead, couldn't get into it the first time around, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

I'll be going back to Atelier Meruru but I'll also be playing something short, dumb and action orientated as a palette cleanser!

Started up Sonic Mania and while it's fun it feels like the fan hack it kind of is. I'll stick with it but it's not too compelling although that might be the mood I'm in.

Also started Binary Domain. Been wanting to get into Yakuza and remember this being described as Yakuza with guns and sci fi. I forgot how much fun shooting up the robots in this game is. Also has a Snatcher vibe off it. Hoping to stick with it until the end this time, the combat is so much fun.

Am i the only one that picked up on this?! Amazing news! I never played it back on the PS2, but got it free with Plus at some stage. I remember starting it, and loving every second of the 30-odd hours i put into it, but some other game came out and i never went back to it!

Really looking forward to see what it will look/run like!

I like Okami a whole lot - bar the fact it has a bit of a bloat problem - but I do confess to struggling to get particularly excited about a remaster of a remaster, especially for a game that isn't even that old in the general scheme of things. Will be nice to have it available on PC for comparative perpetuity.

A HD version of Okamiden, on t'other hand, I would be a tad more interested in :)

Would love a Dead Space remastered trilogy.

Doesn't even have to be remastered, those games probably still look pretty decent.

I don't know, there's better games in my opinion. I found the first one runs out of ideas after the first 4 hours and gets repetitive and Dead Space 2 is a poor man's Resi 4.

They're grand but nothing amazing. Eurogamer jokes about giving the first game a 7/10 but in my eyes the reviewer has right on the money. It's a solid 7/10 game.

The only real standout was the sound design which even today is world class. Even in stereo it's fantastic. In Surround, it's amazing.

A remaster isn't hurting anyone but it's one I'll be giving a miss.

First Dead Space is on my list to replay but the others??? Not in this lifetime. Story wise they are ok but gameplay ????

I'm having a great time playing Yakuza Kiwami at the moment. Great game. Once I have that completed, I'll probably fire up the 360 and play Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

Oh Binary Domain is a whole lot of fun, not a classic or anything but definitely on my list of underrated games from the seventh generation of consoles.

DOOM at the moment for me. New PC finally built and this was top of the list of games I've been holding off on until now. ****ing hell it's great...

Doom is just brilliant, it's the example of how to take an old game and update it to modern standards. They just got so much right in that game.

    Bayonetta/Vanquish bundle possibly being released...

    https://www.destructoid.com/it-looks-like-a-bayonetta-vanquish-two-pack-is-coming-to-ps4-and-xbox-one-460212.phtml

Never got the hype around Vanquish, decent game, but Bayonetta was good fun. Would get it if was cheap-ish and had some new features.

Funny that, i just couldn't get into it. It looks well, it plays well, but i just couldn't stick with it. Only done the first few missions but no intent of going back.

Same with Vanquish, didn't get the big deal about it, thought it was just bland and boring.

I find Doom fun... but only for 15-20 minutes at a pop, half hour absolute tops. More a personal opinion than criticism of the game itself though, can definitely appreciate how well made it is - audio and the visceral feeling especially are stunning.

Loved it right up to the last level in Hell and it just seemed to turn into a complete pain in the hole imo. Maybe I was just itching to get it finished but I found that last level a real struggle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 372 ✭✭JD1763

I enjoyed Doom until I hit the hell levels then it all went a bit meh.  I've tried to get back into it but find it very hard to keep playing through.  Belting around the base on Mars was so much more compelling.  It's a pity the multiplayer was so bad - didn't enjoy that experience at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,397 ✭✭✭xtal191

Titanfall 2 single player was much better than Doom imo

Oh The Suffering was excellent. Remember playing it on the PS2. It was incredibly creepy - especially those claw creatures that could crawl along the roof and drop down at any moment. The noise of them clattering along was terrifying. It had an interesting story, too.

Also it had an interesting thing where if you were doing an escort mission, as such, and your character died, whoever you were with would start freaking out over the death screen. Saying how you can't leave them and such.

Though I had the most infuriating game-breaking glitch. Where I'd get to the end of the game, where you're supposed to kill the final monster. And it would never show up. Nothing I did made him spawn. Never got to finish it, but it was such a great game until then.

Battlefront Ultimate Edition is only a fiver now on the PS Store. Would you get any craic from it in Single Player mode?

Same on Origin at the moment and thinking about it from the same perspective. This article would indicate that it isn't really.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Old room mate had it on the PS4, fun multiplayer but got rather samey we found (never got to play the mass multiplayer stuff though because EA's servers couldn't handle it over a month after it came out, at which point we gave up on the game), but unless something was added later on, single player is nonexistent... what little there is basically just covers enough to count as training/tutorials for playing online. Was very disappointed in that, personally.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider out on friday. Really do love going for no kills/powers/detections in one run in these games.
