Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Birth registered twice

My grandfather's birth was registered twice in - once in August 1904 with a birth date earlier that month, and again in September 1904 with a birth date earlier that month. Any idea why this would have happened?

Parents and informant name and addresses are the same in both cases, except that the informant's address changed in the second case (even though the informant was his dad and he gave the same address both times under the "father" section...)

Sometimes the registrar accidentally put a registration in the wrong quarter. It should be recorded in the quarter when the event was registered not when the event occurred.

Usually the wrong entry will be deleted.
