Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Agricultural prices are generally guaranteed by the Common Agricultural Policy no?
    A bit OT but...
Some agricultural prices such as meat and dairy products used to be guaranteed. Those days are gone since the introduction of the Single Farm Payment. In the past, fruit and vegetable prices were not guaranteed AFAIK

Has Lidl got any fruit on offer?

Good point - their offer says: "Fruit and Veg offers": but no fruit is on offer. Just turnips, onions, potatoes, sprouts, parsnips and carrots.

It's started: Dunnes has them for 6 cents .
Think I'll wait another few days to stock up. I'd feel like I was ripped off if I bought at 6c and they then dropped to 4c ;)

Agreed, zero link between the CAP/SFP and any price guarantees, the SFP means that on the whole, people get cheaper food prices, and a better chance of food produced here in Ireland, as farmers use the SFP to either subside their cost of production, or living costs, so can afford to sell produce for less.
