Does anyone know any good qoutes from sociologists that argue that community feeling has been lost? I need them to back up my arguements at a debate on Thursday. Thanks.

Check out Robert Putnam - his article in the 1993 journal Democracy set off a long debate about the decline of community and civic engagement (social capital) in America. Led to a book in 2000 which Bertie famously claimed as one of his favourites.
