Walkover for Cork

Penultimate stage folks!

No one foresaw Tyrone and Louth's wins, or Meath getting a result against Monaghan, while Kerry, Armagh, Kildare, Antrim, Dublin and Tipperary were successful selections for nearly all of us.

Hammer Archer top scored with 29 points, while I'm presuming patmac forgot to post which has allowed CollieD to stretch that lead out to 8 points.

Please check your tally and if you see a mistake, drop me a PM.

All that is left to decide the final tallies are the predictions you each made at the start of the league. 2 points will be awarded for each correctly guessed promoted or relegated team from each division.

I'll post the final tables tomorrow night.

*Don't be a tool like the runner of this competition by being too lazy to pick your promotion and relegation teams and then subsequently completely forgetting.

Quote:
NFL 1 Winners - Kerry
NFL 1 Relegations - Meath and Mayo

NFL 2 Promotions - Roscommon and Armagh
NFL 2 Relegations - Fermanagh and Cavan

NFL 3 Promotions - Cork and Down
NFL 3 Relegations - Louth and Leitrim

NFL 4 Promotions - Limerick and Wicklow

Well done and congratulations to CollieD, who was in the top 2 from Week 1 and grabbed the top spot in the last round of games before the Covid break. Having said that, his promotion/relegation picks nearly tripped him up at the death, but he had the hard yards done at that stage! He's been there or thereabouts in all of the Pools comps in the last 2 years, so fair play.

Gael85 top scored with a total of 18 points from a possible 26.

Kerry were the hot favourites for the League among posters, with 21 out of 31 of you going with The Kingdom. 28 posters correctly predicted Meath to go straight back down to Division 2, while in stark contrast, only 2 people foresaw Mayo's fall from grace.

Everyone predicted 2 of Roscommon, Armagh and Kildare to get out of Division 2, although only 5 managed the correct combination. Unsurprisingly, just 2 posters had identified Cavan for the drop from what was a pretty bizarre D2 league.

No less than 29 of you saw Cork coming up from Division 3 alongside 14 who had Down, while the exact same numbers predicted Leitrim(29) and Louth(14) for the trapdoor.

Finally, Wicklow were the surprise package of Division 4, that hammering of much fancied Antrim(14) propelling them up alongside Limerick (13).

Congrats again to CollieD and thanks to everyone for taking part.

There's no waiting around, with all 4 Provincial Championship throwing in next weekend. I'll be getting that up and running straight away and hopefully there'll be an appetite for it!

Cheers!
