Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Sending a laptop

    looking to send a laptop as a present to my mate in Sydney, the laptop is used, what would be the best and cheapest and best option to send also, would I need a customs declaration etc?

    I reckon An Post would be the cheapest option. Takes about 7-9 working days. Unfortunately airlines won't carry anything with batteries, so he may have to buy his own. If you do try and send it with the battery, chances are customs will return it to you. Make sure you put a return address on the customs declaration.
