Heading down to Limerick for the weekend and just wondering what are the best clubs? Any really late closing ones?

    Cheers

Best of the bad bunch is probably icon, mostly because it's central so even if it's sh!t you can just head to one of the nearby pubs

This. Also, 2:30 it closes. That's as late as you'll get here unless you're staying in one of the hotels with a residents bar.

What's Icon like? Is it over 18s just? If you're dressed well will you get in? Chart music etc?

Icon opened up a club across the road for under 23s. Icon is 23 or older these days though I have no idea how strict they are on the door. If your hovering around 18 or 19 then it's unlikely you will be left in especially when there is a club across the road for your age group.

Once your in around the age of 23 you should be fine with the icon. If not then you will have no hassles in one of the other clubs, Angel Lane or Crush 87. All are fairly close to each other. There is also Molly's which is supposed to be a late disco bar type place but seems to be turning more into a nightclub now.

The Library, Flannerys and Nancy Blakes are all late pubs in the area with music till late. The Office Bar is re-opening as a late bar now again also.

Basically you won't be short on options as everything is within the same area. It's not like dublin where if you don't get in somewhere you might have to get a taxi to the next place.

Icon is 20s.. Never been 23s,. Was 20s(strictly) last saturday, with Angel Lane open.. Unkess has changed for RAG week?..

Costelloes can be good craic if your looking for something different, good armospbere, beer pong,a dancefloor and cheap in..

It's all the same for every nightclub in the city, they play the exact same music every single night besides the odd club night here and there that play different music and costelloes that plays alternative music........

Besides that they are all basically the same and lack imagination so where ever you go it will be exactly as all the rest : )
