Few cards this weekend of varying quality.

Matchroom card is being billed as this groundbreaking all womens card but realistically it's just Hearn's way of putting on a show on the cheap. Hard to get too enthusiastic about it.

BT card tonight is poor but the main event is good. Heffron-Bentley rematch should be another close fight. Very well matched.

Looking forward to Crawford-Brook Saturday night. On Premier Sports. Can't see him winning regardless but be interesting to see what version of Brook shows up. If he's motivated to win the early rounds might be interesting. Can't help but think Crawford takes over late though and forces a stoppage though.

I think Brook will throw the kitchen sink at Crawford for 3 or 4 rounds.
Don't think he'll be in it after that.

If Crawford starts fast he likely wins pretty much every second of the fight till whenever it’s over. Bad match for a shot Brook.

    Prime Brook loses fairly comfortably.

This Brook is getting utterly dominated!

I think Bud Crawford is a special talent. Despite that he is far from a household name with the mainstream.
A few things have played in to that, such as most early fights in his hometown of Omaha, not exactly a hotbed of American boxing. Also he never has had a rivalry to get people excited about.
Anyway, good to see him back in action and I think he finishes Kell in the later rounds. Then on to Spence if the damn promoters can get their crap together.

    Taylor stoppage?
Would points win be more likely?

Yea it might but I’m going for her to send a message and be too good inside the distance. Technical fight like this will suit her. I think by round 8 she’ll have G worn out mentally

Is Crawford/Brook ring walk around 5am?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,679 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Not sure about that I’m sure at least 4. It says on bet slip starts at 3 I’d say that’s the programme. Is it on any tv station?

The main programme in the States starts at 3am our time and is just showing the co-main and main event. Co-main should nearly definitely go the distance so would expect Brook-Crawford 4.15am at the earliest. All depends how much filler they stack the programme with though could be later.

Crap I have that channel but don’t subscribe. Gutted I’d have got up for that.

    Just very tough going...

Brook is in some nick for this, but I reckon he had to try very hard to get to 147..looks too ripped..very gaunt in the face!

Always hate when they havnt got the knockout power but pummel them for 12 rounds. Used to happen alot in the womens boxing. Its like hes hitting a punchbag with feelings, wheres the towel.

Its like the local heroin dealer beating up a fella who owes him a score. He doesnt really care about the score hes loaded but wants to make a point for the other addicts.
