I'm in the middle of season 2, great series

Did the character have to be British ?? Could they not have left him from New Zealand and keep his normal accent

He's British in the source material. Ex SAS.

Spin Offs are in the works now as well chaps. Which is very interesting. The comics have tons of other superheroes, thus far unexplored in the show. Whole other teams even.

The Black Noir actor has spoken about wanting to do a spin off for his character as well, where he goes through his daily life as like this awkward person, like Mr. Bean. He fails at the ordinary things, but when it's game time, and he needs to be Black Noir again, he's incredible

I see Netflix just added "I Am Vengeance: Retaliation" starring Stu Bennett, aka Wade Barrett. I haven't watched but I'm sure it's great

After finishing The Boys over the weekend, there's a serious Antony Starr shaped hole left in my heart, so i've started watching Banshee, where he's the lead actor.

Pretty enjoyable first episode, have to say. First couple mins sees an awesome car chase, and the fight scenes are gritty and pretty damn gory. This will do nicely!

Banshee is great. Job is excellent in it. Plus it introduced me to Lili Simmons. :)
Some of the best fight scenes in TV or film, in my opinion and the women get to be just as tough as the guys.
When recommending it I always say you'll know after episode 3 if you want to watch or not

Starr kinda looks like Finn Balor, saw his name mentioned on line for Wolverine

    Banshee.
The entire series of procedurals like CSI and NCIS. they and their spinoffs should keep you going for a while. :)

I try and rotate between films, TV and games. But there's not much difference between now and pre COVID since I perfected social distancing years ago. :pac:

Dexter returning is one of the biggest surprises in a while and while I'd be one of those people who would tell you don't watch the latter seasons I know I will watch this one...Cmon fix that ending Showtime.

I don't see the comparison's to Finn, but have seen Antony Starr mentioned for Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash in the upcoming & long awaited Flash movie, and I think, after seeing him as Homelander, I'd be down to see him portray one of The Flash's best villains.

I reckon this is the one acceptable use of "it was all just a dream" to undo at least season 8 if not everything after
    Rita's death
    .

We're coming up on the two years since Daredevil was cancelled; praying that's the next show to be revived.

Went back to Doom Eternal, many months after finishing the Campaign. The Ancient Gods Part. 1 just picks up where the base game finished.

Still got it, even just playing from muscle memory.

Casino Royale Is Daniel Craig’s best one imo

Licence To Kill is my favourite, I thought Timothy Dalton was very underrated as Bond and did well in his two outings

A more knowledgeable Bond fanatic might recommend you more ;)

    Goldeneye is a hoot

The Mandalorian, Clone Wars & Rebels are the best things, that IMO Disney have done with Star Wars.

That said, yesterday's episode of The Mandalorian was just magnificent, it continues to improve week by week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,294 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Still need to watch the latest episode.
Though I do wonder if Filoni's work on Mandalorian was the reason resistance wasn't of the same quality as Clone Wars and Rebels.

If he doesn't hide under a cardboard box at least once in the film it's all bollix.

Oscar Isaac To Star As Solid Snake In Sony’s ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Movie

Sony’s long awaited Metal Gear Solid adaptation looks to have gained some major momentum as sources tell Deadline that Oscar Isaac is attached to play Solid Snake in the Jordan Vogt-Roberts film. The movie is currently in development at Sony Pictures with Vogt-Roberts on board to direct.

The film is based on the Metal Gear Solid video game created by Hideo Kojima and published by Konami. The script is written by Derek Connolly. Avi Arad is producing. Peter Kang is the executive overseeing for the studio.

The game was first launched on PlayStation in 1998 and follows Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit. The game has received acclaimed on many fronts but its story telling that has a cinematic feeling always made it seem like a movie adaptation was inevitable.
