Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Talk that Palace have made a bid for Brewster - Given they have Batman on loan, Zaha, Ayew, Bentekete and others i wouldn't imagine his game time would be high as some would like

Heard this earlier, seems a strange one, same as you’re saying it would seem difficult enough for him to gain a regular first team spot, but palace don’t strike me as a club who can spend €20 -25 million on a player for him to sit on the bench?

Depends how much they think they could sell him on for I guess

Is Runarsson likely to replace Leno?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

Think its a season where possible to try focus on who you have in your team and try not to worry too much about who you dont have in your team. The amount of options this year is unreal. Salah, mane, auba, bruno, rashford, sterling, mahrez, kdb, son , James Rodriguez, DCL, martial, Werner, havertz, ings, jiminez, Jesus, kane, aguero , bale and pulisic when fit.
I was terrified about Utd options last gw but to get them it involved a -4 and transferring out son or salah. You have to remeber that a lot of the people with utd assets then cant have who you have. Some weeks you will risk going without and the punishment will be huge. You just can't get even close to covering all bases this year.

Spot on. Hard to remember it though.

The number of viable high ceiling attackers is staggering and you'll only be able to own 4 or 5 of them at any one time.

    Jesus.

How bent is the game ?

The guys at ‘FPL towers’ don’t even try to hide it. Does John Delaney run that gig too ?

How is that a KDB assist tonight ? On what planet is that an assist ?

They should be getting hammered on social media, over the last few years, for bad decisions but that doesn’t seem to happen.

If the ‘community’ don’t unite over it then ‘fpl towers’ will get away with it for as long as they want. But I suppose the ‘community’ fear being ostracised.

Surely their social media being bombarded with accusations of cheating would open up dialogue and hopefully create some transparency.

One of their worst ever decisions ,they gave no assist for Justin's goal for Leicester last night when Perez probably should have gotten it

I think Walton is second choice. Been with the club a long time and performed well for Blackburn on loan last season.

Steele by all accounts isn’t a good goalkeeper as I think CSF here lambasted him a few seasons back for how bad he was.

Don’t think that was me. Or maybe my memory has gone wonky. Who knows.

Loved that short, sweet assist from KDB to Jesus!! Great end to the game.

I read in an article of ff scout that Bruno dropped deeper and Van de Beek played a more advanced role when he can on for Pogba after 70 minutes

Anyone that watched the match that can confirm?

I don’t mind paying the 10.5 for Bruno if he’s behind Martial but not if he’s Potentially back playing in the 2 of a 4,2,3,1

Decent value if he gets going - just checked that the season he left he was registered at 12m on FF.

I dont think so - Foden is a good pick - but my start has been horrific

If Foden and Prodence were to play the same amount of minutes, i would say go with Foden, however how many minutes Foden gets is the million dollar question.

In Foden's favour is that he plays for a very attack minded team - and even if he doesn't start - he would still be likely to come on even if the team are wining 5-0, and which case may grab a goal easier than say Prodence would.

Podence is also an unknown from a game time perspective (though less so than Foden)

With Semedo coming in itll be Traore, Neto, Podence for 2 spots

Early to decide yet with all the cup games. But which 2 would you start from KWP, Mitchell, Burke (SHU)?

    Mitchell 100% anyway.

    Mitchell 100% anyway.

He's in and have Burke at the moment as he was playing basically as a FW against Villa. Up against a leaky Leeds defence

What way do we see the striker discussion now? Obviously DCL and Bamford have started great.

If we go from 8.4 upwards, who do people think is the best a) relative to value b) ignoring value

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 474 ✭✭The Megaphone

    a) Jiménez
    b) Aguero (simply as I think he’s in line for a curtailed season with injuries)

I wonder will we see Aguero as Aguero again. I’m in that seemingly small group of people who thinks Jesus is an unbelievable footballer (not as good an FPL asset)

Im starting burke against leads, as Sheff utd will look to counter and leeds look slightly porous at the back.

(obvious caveat he might not start)

I personally would bench mitchell I think, higher ceiling on KWP

    Jiminez
    Kane... maybe

DCL or Ricarlison? Everything in me is saying Ricarlison

What the PL plan if there were 4/5 players on a squad infected - would a PL game get postponed?

Kinda feel like just wildcarding in every peno taker this year, given what the handball rule looks like

Surely the whole first team squad are deemed close contacts and have to isolate?

Or maybe in PL testing overrules that?

Interesting. KWP is probably more likely for assists. Although they both got one at the weekend. Burnley probably have less attack threat too than Everton. KWP it is :)

Wait, just looked up article on the Athletic and it says the opposite. Where did you see that?

"West Ham face Wolves in the Premier League on sunday but that game is not likely to be postponed - more than two players and a manager have to test positive for that to be a possibility."
