Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Electric scooter or "hoverboard" for a child

    Hello,

My son, aged 9, wants an electric scooter or a "hoverboard" (electric board with two wheels). The scooters seem to have better battery range at the same price (we're looking in the 200-250 Euro range).

However, I hear there are significant legality issues, with a chance that electric scooters might be judged "motor vehicles". In which case, of course, a child would not be allowed to drive one.

Are there any particular electric scooters or hoverboards, perhaps with some sort of speed limitation, that would be safe to get for a child, legally speaking?

Sorry OP, not sure where would be more suited to this, but its not a parenting topic.
