Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Keep any car service and maintenance bills for any vehicle you own which you could conceivably ever want to sell or give to someone else.

You should hang on to 6 yrs of records in case you get audited by Revenue so relevant ones to do with income... Otherwise current certs are enough eg current TV licence, insurance etc. I would keep receipts of major electrical items in case of warranty issues. It is nice to be able to produce full record of care for a car if trying to sell especially privately. You have option nowadays to have digital bills instead of paper so those records need to be remembered. A decent box file with A to Z sections is invaluable, keep things in one place!

passport...why not make a list of all things that have expiry dates like your passport/driving license/other licenses/medical certs and so on and put thme on a calendar app?

    Short List:-

    P60s - 6 years,Payslips 6 yrs,Tax returns and receipts included - 6 yrs B/B bills - 1st & last of each year or change of contract

    Bank stats 2/3 yrs,

High cost items until warranties or consumer rights expire but still useful for insurance claims.

Previous health and travel insurance for comparison with latest purchase

Keep items with name, address, etc that can be need to verify identity

Keep and laminate as many as you can. We going into digital era in 100 years time these pieces of history would cost a fortune.

We had to present previous years car insurance cert recently in local garda station. Lucky to have it still available.

Similarly house insurance for a couple of years back might be useful.

I had to find a recent household bill in my name to present along with photo ID.... struggle to find one as other half happier to go digital with bills.
