Current Weather Conditions - March 2012

Very warm day today, you really notice the difference in the days with low and high humidity this far north. I am approx 20 degrees from the Equator.
35c max earlier. I noticed that in the past few weeks the days have been more pleasant despite being more humid & max temps being similiar to previous months.

The difference I realised is when the sun is between 80 and 90 degrees angle the second it comes up in the morning the temp shoots up very quickly so you have temps over 30c from 9am in the mornings right through till midnight.

Now its mid 20s to late 20s until noon then it might hit the max temp for an hour or too then cool down. When I was in the Northern Territory it would hit max temp maybe 11am and stay within 3 or 4c of the max until midnight. Was insanity.

Unfortunately the Monsoon trough finds it hard to penetrate the interior of Australia and currently I can see huge thunderstorms fizzle out maybe 200 miles north of me this has been going on literally for weeks with a few exceptions.
