Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ski School Soll - Children

    Hi All,

    looking into going back to Soll with kids this year in early January. When researching the ski school it seems that they separate the kids from 6yrs upwards - my two will be 5 and 7 and want to stay together. Is this the case with all schools? @fanny perhaps you could shed some light.

    Hi there,
    We have been to Soll a few times with kids. The ski school is very good for kids. Up til a few years ago they had the 4-5 year olds at the bottom of the mountain and the older ones up further, which was a nightmare at lunchtime. But now they are all at the top of the gondola. If you're going in January it will be quiet and the kids groups will be small ( 3 in one group last year ). This means they learn faster. The reason for the split in ages is because they have a special penned off area for the 5 and unders, with 6 and over going out on the normal slopes, but they dont go far away, and they all meet at the same place at lunchtime. The school is quite accommodating when its not busy, ie January, so if you really wanted, they would prob let the 2 kids in the one group. If they are beginners, they will be in the baby school for the first while anyway. Even so, being in separate groups may be no harm, as they will meet more children that way. They will not be bored. Don't bother with the kiko creche. If the weather is bad there is an indoor area that the instructors bring the kids in to play. Also, if your going off for the day yourself, the instructors will get them lunch for about a tenner a head once you tell them in the morning. You know its a good school when your 10 year old drags you out of the pub after lessons to show you what they learned that day!
