Keith and Dave at http://www.archeryshop.ie should be able to help you out.

They're based in Wicklow, if memory serves.

You could do a beginner course if you've never shot before.

You get to use club equipment while you get into the sport and also have a look and see what bows other people shoot and see what you like. Keith and Dave will help you out as much as possible but an idea of what you like might help

Yeah there site looks good. I might try them out. Just a quick question, do you have to buy the parts seperate or can you buy a hole new bow?
    Thanks

I presume you are talking about a kit and now a one piece bow. You can buy bows and the limbs that correspond to them together but as archery equipment can vary greatly from person to person you might want to get it in parts to suit you. The guys in wicklow will point you in the right direction and will know what would suit you best

The advice is good.... Find your closest club and try out the equipment there first. The coaches will be able to give you advice and you can 'have-a-go' before committing yourself to spending your money... Check out the IAAA for a list of clubs at http://archery.ie/ and then... when your ready... Keith and David at http://www.archeryshop.ie/index.html will make sure your purchase matches your needs.. Don't buy online first off.. you will need to be there with the experts to make sure that everything you buy matches... Oh! and Happy Shooting

I just bought a kit from Keith for a beginner to get started which cost around 100 for the bow(riser, limbs, string, sight, rest), 50 for 8 arrows and 38 for the hard case. He will not put you wrong and is a pleasure to deal with. His shop is in Valleymount, Blessington.
