Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Model Mayhem is underway as the coming weeks weather gets decided.
The next few days will make or break the coming winter. The GFS
model cannot even predict accurately 36hrs away, yes 36hrs away!
A battle is about to break out between the cold continent and the
unsettled Atlantic. Sadly Ireland is likely to only be affected by
by a very bitter Easterly blast as we are too far west. Eastern
Ireland will be coldest for once! 2 of the 8 runs from the 06z
show sub -8c 850hpa temperatures for 14 days!! While 3 others
go for a 4 day cold spell this weekend the other 3 go for mild zonal
weather to push through. Eastern England is likely to be affected by
an "Easterly Blast" even if Dublin is not. The cold continent will feed
cold air into Eastern England from this weekend and should continue for
    week or so.

Meanwhile Ireland's weather lys under a virtual battle ground.
Will cold Easterlies blast in to resurrect our winter
or will we return to the Atlantic mild weather??

Yes its up in the air :D

This is where lifes experience comes in ...
A prolonged Easterly over a warm Irish sea when pressure is not too high produces showers.
These would blow onto the East coast including Dublin and if its cold enough, they are snow and it settles.

Weathercheck I warned you several times to keep forecasting in the winter weather forecast thread untill an event becomes imminent.
You are one more of these threads away from a ban.
