Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fave bit was Rybak's appearance. The crossover was epic.

I actually completely missed him the first time round!

Thought it was so feel good. But the funniest parody of eurovision was the swedish presenters 4 years ago.

    The song was fire.

    Love Love Peace Peace?

I just found out it's on Spotify!!!!

Just finished this. The "wheel incident", as another poster called it, literally had tears rolling down my cheeks. Overall it was funny. Fantastically funny. Also at the end I was ranting (possibly owing to the beers I have drank) they better put a tricolour with Graham Norton....and they did :D

The aggressive, pined over primadonna doesn't work all that well these days but that being said I enjoyed the film for the novelty.

So nice to hear Salvador again. What a song.

Thought it was refreshingly brilliant myself and as many have said Dan Stevens was excellent!

I really wish Volcano Man wasn't so short!Absolutely love that song!

Some seriously great music in it for me!

The best thing Netflix have ever done for me along with the The Lonely Island Presents: The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience which I found fantastic as well!

Really think the song 'Husavik' should have a good shout of at least a nomination for Best Song at the Oscars.Would be a worthy winner if it did!

It's funny tho the amount of people who think the eurovision isn't self-aware and if this is unique in taking the piss out of it.

Loved this movie, just what the doctor ordered with all the miserable news around! Good songs in the soundtrack also - the Icelandic song Husavik, Demo Lovato’s - ‘In the Mirror’.

Surely volcano man has to be at the top of the good song list?!?

Do RTE 1 still show films every Wednesday night? I remember years ago when the TV guide would come out, I would always look to see what film was on RTE 1 at 930 on Wednesday night. Streaming doesn't generate the same level as excitement.

I think now they are back showing Wednesday night films again as The Snowman was on last night

Watched again tonight on RTE and although on the long side it does stand up for a second viewing. Soundtrack is excellent.

I was watching this movie for the very first time tonight. I loved it. It took the piss out of Eurovision in the right tone but it was great craic to see it unfold on screen. I thought Rachel McAdams was really good in it. One of the best comedy films that I have watched in years.

had Will Ferrell in a hamster wheel, we had our act on a treadmill ....

The songs are great throughout the movie.
The set-pieces are a lot of fun, and it's got a nice amount of heart.

Dan Stevens is super (I'd watch an entire movie about his character), and Rachel McAdams was very good.

Found Will Ferrell switching between being somewhat funny and operating as his obnoxious worst.
He never seems to know when enough is enough.

He actually is a great singer (see Step Brothers), but I thought he ruined
Husavik, the big song at the end.

Ferrell was good but Rachel McAdams was fantastic. She really elevated what could have been a two-dimensional character to someone real. She's a really talented actress, possibly cursed by her stunning looks!

and her wart (can't stop staring at it)

am i shallow to say that?

    It's a mole, not a wart.

well its quite a big one, surprised she hasn't got it removed esp in this age of cosmetic surgery
