    Yeah not that bad.

Nazism didn't need a war to thrive, that much was obvious from its growth in popularity in Germany.
With anyone else but Adolf at the helm, it could possibly have spread throughout Europe by taking the democracy option.

Its really weird to hear people talking about nazism academically. I know they mean nothing by it at all. Just feels strange.

Nazism was racial theory and the idea of uniting the german people and a german right to territorial expansion. There was nothing to it beyond that.

It was anti communism and anti capitalism. Beyond that they had no real economic theory.

They also banned any kind of bargaining or financial negotiation. And they froze wages at a very low level.

They got rid of workers rights.

They got rid of social welfare (which had been established in the weinmar republic).

They gave the rights of farmland and farmers businesses over to corporate business without compensating the farmers.

Non Aryans included people who were unemployed or homeless. They were racially inferior.

I hate it. Just because 'the market' decides Messi should get 500 thousand a week, doesn't mean the market is right. Nobody should earn that much because they kick a bit of leather around a pitch. I don't know how you value their brilliance, perhaps the value they give to millions around the world in happiness and memories vindicates it, but the wages they make is just obscene.

He doesn't get paid that much just to kick a ball around. It's also the commercial factor. Jersey sales and profile. Football is a business.

They needed the idea of racial theory to exclude people whom the system was failing from being true Germans.

Working class broad German accents were portrayed as less German than standard Deutsch.

Its actually a very Austrian thing to do.

But that was part of it too uniting all German speaking people ...well those who were useful.

    The public services card.

Could have saved the country millions in catching social welfare scammers.
Instead some snowflake from the data protection has declared it illegal and is setting up said scammers for an extra payout. They will now be able to sue the government for having the temerity to know who they were giving money to.

I suppose the people in the relevant government department who decided to break the law and extend its use where it had no legal right to are not to blame? There are qualified legal people in these departments who should be ensuring that the actions of our state correspond with the law made by the Oireachtas. They failed. By pointing this out the DPC is merely doing its job, unlike the other crowd.

Wrong, they have deemed it illegal for all uses aside from social benefits.

The government ruined it by trying to sneak in a national identity card under the current guise.

    Probably Nazism if we're honest.

Take away killing the Jew and the Aryan race nonsense... Was it really that bad??

What part was good? Other than being nice to animals and being onto the hazards of smoking before it’s time.

Well I never mentioned war as related to their need to thrive.
However, from the start their ideology was based on war.
They attracted followers, including soldiers from WW1, with the 'stab in the back' theory.
They always meant to persecute a war on Europe, both for territory and revenge.
Also, Hitler was in charge and engaging in 'what if' scenarios tends to be perceived using deflection tactics.

Disagree. it has lost its real atmosphere.. tamed, minimised. manicured.. same with so many wild places. It was an adventure going there. Just another cliff now. Thankful for this part of Mayo. wild as ever

I was there at the weekend and cliffs are as a wild as ever
they have made some small investment making it easier for people to go see them.
this is great and in my opinion had zero effect on how awesome the cliffs are.

I wish more government spending was on things like this that everybody can enjoy and helps communities in the west start to support themselves long term.Would be far better for the west than continued money being spent on supporting those communities to survive day to day.

    Paying for water by usage.

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.
