Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Agreed

A lot of pure sports have been ruined through

    1) Globalisation/Commercialisation
    2) Fantasy Sports I believe (lot of people not actual fans of 'teams' anymore, but rather earning points.
    3) Juicing
    4) Betting/Fixing
    5) Social Media

Not fully sure but maybe browser crypto mining instead of ads. It was never given a chance as the first provider allowed far too much cpu usage.

It would solve a good few problems regarding personal information if cpu usage was capped at a good level.

I hate it. Just because 'the market' decides Messi should get 500 thousand a week, doesn't mean the market is right. Nobody should earn that much because they kick a bit of leather around a pitch. I don't know how you value their brilliance, perhaps the value they give to millions around the world in happiness and memories vindicates it, but the wages they make is just obscene.

If there aren't any billionaires inflating prices, the wages are justified as that is what they make the club and more. Capped prices would mean lots of teams offering that amount for one player. Who gets him? Draw straws? Let the player decide?

    The public services card.

Could have saved the country millions in catching social welfare scammers.
Instead some snowflake from the data protection has declared it illegal and is setting up said scammers for an extra payout. They will now be able to sue the government for having the temerity to know who they were giving money to.

Only talking to my sister about it. It's such a hole. It should be the lifeblood and cultural centre of Dublin. Instead, it's just an afterthought. The spire is well fitted to O'Connell Street. Equally ****e.

I look at old pics of my great grandparents, granddad, uncles etc. and O'Connell Street has a certain class about it.

Immigration - Ireland should have imported a few hundred Japanese management gurus to create lots of successful tech start-ups. Instead, we now have small towns full of unemployable 3rd world chancers.

Disagree. it has lost its real atmosphere.. tamed, minimised. manicured.. same with so many wild places. It was an adventure going there. Just another cliff now. Thankful for this part of Mayo. wild as ever
