I just installed adblocker on my computer in the last few days, and now for some reason hot girls in my local area don't want to meet me anymore.

    Am I doing something wrong?

I live out in the wilds - nearest shop 5.2 miles (believe me I measured it), but I frequently get adverts for bored and sexy 4 miles away.

I'm thinking are you even human? How do you work the keyboard with those hooves.

    @SheepLover No offence intended.

Well yeah, women don't want guys who don't let websites make money from page views.

This happened to me also but thankfully after a few days the local girls formed an orderly queue outside my house.

You do realise that people who run websites dont put ads up for the fun of it don't you? Usually if you are lucky ad revenue will cover hosting and some other expenses. So why do people feel the need to deny website owner a few cents by blocking ads?

Usually I wouldn't pay them much heed but there is one infuriating add for uber on this site that keeps coming up when I'm on my phone. If you try to scroll past it it instantly redirects to some site and then again to my App Store to download the dam thing. It drove me demented enough to finally bother getting a blocker.

It's a coincidence OP, what actually happened was that as you installed adblocker, I uninstalled mine and started hoovering up all the attention from local girls. We're having a great time.

the porn sites have started a pitiful plea about their ads now.
If the ads were ad they'd be fine , nobody objects to new russian wives on a banner at the side of the screen but pop ups and redirects are a pain the in hole.

    First thing I thought of

"There are local girls inside the perimeter?! Have they killed anyone?"

Maybe they don't want to meet a man who hasn't the time to read a popup ad... You hurt their feelings

I only uninstalled it as it said there were some hot russian ladies in the vicinity.
We all know if Putin found out that to be the case, that's my land gone.

You're not denying them money by blocking the ads, you're denying them money by not clicking on them. And it's free choice. Nobody has any obligation to be made watch ads. Tbf if they weren't made so annoying and in your face a lot less people would feel they need to block them.

I heard that Apple listen in on your conversations, gather and analyse the data, and then hope to tailor adds to you and whisper them into your ear.

So in the midst of conversation with your buddy Jimmy. 'Hey Jimmy, Im'a kinda hungry.', Next thing you hear a soft voice say '40% off on Marvin.ie'

Now this right here is one of the upsides of being gay - 'local girls want to meet you' IMMUNE! Although if they offer to set me up with their guy friends I'm screwed...

Shared hosting and a domain will set you back about €60 a year for a basic enough package, hardly breaking the bank

In Soviet Russia Ireland, ad-blocker blocks you.

I live in Phibsboro...always wondered if those 'local girls' are nurses from the Matter or inmates from Dochas womens prison.
